One‑Stop Source Factory for Rapid Manufacturing
3D printing, CNC machining, silicone vacuum casting, RIM low‑pressure casting, rapid tooling, injection molding, painting and assembly.

Many customers start their first inquiry with a simple question: "Can you make this?" To answer this as efficiently as possible, we have put together this guide. It will help you quickly understand our capabilities and ensure smooth communication from the very beginning.

Shanghai New Product Technologies Co., Ltd. was founded in 2003. We specialize in one‑stop multi‑process custom manufacturing based on drawings, with a particular focus on rapid manufacturing of enclosures for medical instruments and intelligent robotics. All core processes are owned and operated in‑house, ensuring full control over lead times and quality.

Below, we provide a detailed overview covering six key aspects: processes, product types, materials, precision, quantities, and boundaries.

1. One‑Stop Multi‑Process Service: One Point of Contact for All Coordination

A single project often requires more than one process. For example, an enclosure may need: 3D printing, CNC machining for internal structures, low‑pressure casting for large outer covers, silicone vacuum casting for small components, plus surface painting. Managing multiple suppliers yourself means high communication costs, misaligned delivery schedules, and finger‑pointing when issues arise.

Our advantage lies in integration: you deal with just one project contact. We internally coordinate all process steps from prototype to production and take full responsibility for final delivery.

Process CategorySpecific ProcessTypical Applications
CNC Machining3‑axis / 4‑axis CNC, CNC turningEnclosures, precision parts, metal / plastic components
Vacuum CastingSilicone vacuum castingSmall‑batch transparent parts, PU parts, ABS‑like / PC‑like parts
Low‑Pressure CastingLow‑pressure reaction injection moldingLarge‑sized enclosures, soft parts, automotive interior parts
Rapid Injection MoldingRapid tooling + small‑batch injection moldingSmall‑batch plastic parts ranging from tens to hundreds of units, no steel molds required
3D PrintingSLA / SLS / FDM / SLMPrototype validation, complex structural prototypes
Post‑ProcessingSanding, polishing, bonding, assemblySurface finishing, component assembly
Surface FinishingPainting, powder coating, silk‑screen printing, anodizingAppearance parts, markings, protective coatings

2. What Product Types Can We Make?

Our core competency lies in plastic enclosures, with particular expertise in the following areas:

Medical Instrument Enclosures

Patient monitor housings, ultrasound equipment enclosures, portable medical device shells, medical cart covers, diagnostic instrument casings

Intelligent Robot Enclosures

Service robot shells, AGV housings, industrial robot protective covers, commercial robot enclosures

Aerospace & Aviation Housings, avionics enclosures, drone fuselages, ground support equipment shells

Other Enclosure Applications

Automotive interior parts / housings, instrument casings, model and prototype making

Note: We specialize in plastic enclosures and do not handle precision metal components. If you need plastic enclosures or medium‑sized plastic structural parts, we are the right fit.

3. What Materials Can We Process?

ProcessApplicable Materials
CNC MachiningABS, PC, POM, Acrylic, Nylon, Metal machining
3D PrintingPhotosensitive resin (white / transparent / tough), Nylon, PLA, Stainless steel
Silicone Vacuum CastingPU (ABS‑like, PC‑like, POM‑like), transparent PU, soft rubber
Low‑Pressure Casting (RIM)Rigid PU, soft PU, transparent PU (performance similar to PP/ABS, corrosion‑resistant, impact‑resistant)
Rapid Injection MoldingABS, PC, PP, PA, POM

4. What Precision Can We Achieve?

We focus on plastic enclosure products. Below are our typical achievable precision ranges. Please note: for enclosure parts, ±0.1mm is generally sufficient to ensure proper assembly. Specifying overly tight tolerances (e.g., below ±0.05mm) will significantly increase cost and lead time, and plastic materials are inherently difficult to hold to such tight tolerances due to their material properties.

CNC Machining (Plastics): ±0.05~±0.1mm (recommended design tolerance for enclosures: ±0.1mm)

3D Printing: ±0.1mm (varies by equipment and material)

Silicone Vacuum Casting: ±0.1mm (cast parts may experience slight shrinkage; allow for this in design)

Low‑Pressure Casting (RIM): ±0.15~±0.2mm (suitable for large‑sized appearance parts, thick‑walled parts with no sink marks)

Rapid Injection Molding: ±0.05mm

We will recommend the most rational and cost‑effective precision solution based on your product's functional requirements. We do not blindly promise excessive precision.

5. What Quantities Can We Handle?

Based on your required quantity, we recommend the optimal process path:

1–5 pcs: 3D Printing or CNC Machining

5–20 pcs: CNC Machining or Silicone Vacuum Casting

20–100 pcs: Silicone Vacuum Casting or Low‑Pressure Casting (RIM) or Rapid Injection Molding

100–500 pcs: Rapid Injection Molding or Low‑Pressure Casting (Resin Mold / Aluminum Mold)

500–2000 pcs: Low‑Pressure Casting (Aluminum Mold / Steel Mold) or Production Injection Molding

Above 2000 pcs: Production steel mold recommended (more economical for high volumes)

Liupu's specialty lies in small‑batch to medium‑batch quantities (1–500 pcs per batch). We are particularly skilled in RIM low‑pressure casting for large‑sized plastic enclosures, offering low tooling costs and short lead times.

6. What Do We NOT Do?

Setting clear boundaries ensures that everyone's time is well spent.

❌ We do not sell off‑the‑shelf products — we offer only custom manufacturing services (all work is based on customer drawings; we hold no finished product inventory. All designs and IP belong to the client, and we maintain strict confidentiality).

7. How to Get a Fast "Yes / No" Answer on Your Project?

If you have a custom manufacturing need, simply provide the information in the template below. We will respond within half an hour:

Product Type: (Medical Enclosure / Robot Enclosure / Aerospace Housing / Other Plastic Enclosure)

Main Material: (ABS / PC / PU / Nylon / Other Plastic: ______)

Key Tolerance: (±0.1mm / ±0.15mm / Other)

Quantity: ______ pcs

Required Process: (CNC / 3D Printing / Silicone Vacuum Casting / Low‑Pressure Casting / Rapid Injection Molding / Multi‑process Combination)

3D Drawing Available: (Yes / No)

We hope this guide helps you quickly determine whether we are the right fit for your project. If you have any questions or need a quote, feel free to contact us at any time.
